Biography

Evan Braden Montgomery is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, focusing on U.S. defense strategy, nuclear proliferation, and Asia-Pacific security issues, among other areas.

He has published on a wide range of topics, and is the author of several reports in CSBA's Strategy for the Long Haul series. His work has appeared in Foreign Affairs, International Security, and Security Studies.

He graduated summa cum laude from Villanova University with a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology, and received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
